We partner with our clients Human Resources department to manage Disability and/or Leave of absences until the claim is resolved or the employee returns to work.  Our highly customer centric approach is to try and duplicate the culture of our clients to make the experience seamless for employees.  Our mobile app technology provides ease of use to our client and employee in reporting claim information.

Position Summary

The Claims Examiner, Workers' Compensation will handle Workers Compensation Claims for large Self Insured and Insured clients. They will investigate, evaluate and determine benefit eligibility of claims in a timely fashion. This position will also manage subrogation of claims and negotiate settlements. The candidate for this position will also develop and sustain excellent client relationships.

  • Process Workers' Compensation Claims determining compensability and benefits due on long-term indemnity claims.
  • Maintain a quality assurance program to support the Total Performance Management initiative and the consistent delivery of quality claims service.
  • Develop and manage Workers' Compensation Claim action plans to resolution. 
  • Coordinate return-to-work efforts, and approve claim payments.
  • Manage subrogation of claims and negotiate settlements.
  • Communicates claim action/processing with claimant and client.
  • Manages claims according to established procedures; plan documents and state and federal guidelines. 
  • Point of contact between employees, employers and their medical providers 
  • Ensures compliance with policy / provisions according to state and federal regulations and exercises expense management through investigation, appropriate follow up, case management and claim settlements.


  • Five to seven (+) years -Workers' Compensation Claims Administration experience is preferred.
  • Self Insured Examiner Certificate/License is required (NY)
  • Bilingual Spanish is preferred.
  • Experience working with large Self Insured and Insured clients. 
  • Multi-Jurisdiction experience is a (+).
  • Ability to work in fast paced changing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working complex and litigated WC claims.
  • We seek a self starter with above average communication and critical thinking skills. 
  • Must be well organized and detail oriented. 
  • Excellent customer service skills are essential. 
  • Bachelors Degree or higher from an Accredited College or University and/or requisite industry experience is also required.
